Drew McIntyre won the WWE Championship after he beat Cody Rhodes in “Three Stages of Hell” during the latest episode of “Smackdown”, which took place in Berlin, Germany at the Uber Arena.
McIntyre won two out of the three falls, as each fall represented a different style of stipulation.
The Scotsman won the first fall, which was a standard wrestling match.
However, his win was not clean as McIntyre delivered an illegal low blow to Rhodes after the referee was distracted.
The devious McIntyre then hit a “Claymore” to a hurt Rhodes to grab the first fall.
Chaos across Uber Arena
The second stage was a “Falls Count Anywhere” match, and the brutality was elevated as the two superstars fought tooth and nail across the arena.
Early in the match, McIntyre managed to “Powerbomb” Rhodes through a wooden table, but the “American Nightmare” kicked out.
The chaos spread to the stands, and the two brawled their way around the arena with Rhodes at one point grabbed a fan’s camera and took a selfie while he bit McIntyre’s head.
Rhodes then hit a “Frog Splash” from an audience barrier to McIntyre who was laying on a wooden table, but that high risk manoeuvre was not enough to keep the Scotsman down.
The second stage ended with Rhodes hitting a “Cross Rhodes” to his opponent through the announcer’s desk to win the second fall.

The Fatu Factor
After they were let loose in the arena, the last fall of the bout was a “Steel Cage Match”, where McIntyre or Rhodes had to win via pinfall or by escaping the cage.
The exhausted pair once again locked horns, as McIntyre executed a “Suplex” off the top of the cage, and Rhodes hit another “Cross Rhodes”.
The two eventually met at the top of the cage as both tried to escape, with Rhodes knocking off McIntyre.
But instead of exiting, Rhodes channeled his fighting spirit and hit a “Cody Cutter” from the top to his opponent.
At the closing moments of the bout, McIntyre was about to exit the cage, but Jacob Fatu appeared after a two-month absence.
Fatu scuffled with McIntyre, which the “American Nightmare” tried to break up.
The rabid Samoan then turned his crosshairs to Rhodes, and McIntyre took advantage of the situation as he simply left the cage, winning the match.
“The Scottish Psychopath” last held a world championship at WrestleMania 40 in 2024, when he defeated Seth Rollins.
But that reign lasted only five minutes, as Damian Priest cashed in his “Money in the Bank” contract to challenge a wounded McIntyre to an impromptu match.
