Super Bowl champions the Seattle Seahawks begin the defence of their crown in the early hours of Thursday morning (UK time) when they take on the New England Patriots.
The Seahawks produced a devastating defensive display to beat the Patriots 29-13 last season and claim their second Super Bowl victory.
And they will be looking to put a marker down in the first game of the 2026 season when the race to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy begins.
Super Bowl LXI then takes place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 14.
Seattle are 12/1 with bookmakers Sky Bet to lift the trophy for a second successive season and the Patriots are priced at 18/1.
However, bookies feel the Los Angeles Rams are best placed to end the season as kings of the NFL, pricing them at 11/2, with Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills second favourites in the outrights at 10/1.
Kansas City Chiefs are widely available at 16/1, while Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals could be an outside shot for glory at 20/1.
