Gunther and LA Knight advanced to the finals of “The Last Time is Now Tournament” to determine John Cena’s final opponent.
The finals will be held this Friday on “SmackDown”, as the winner will face Cena in his final match on “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on December 13.
Both Knight and Gunther punched their ticket to the finals on “Raw”, as both superstars fought fierce competition that ranged from NXT youngsters to wrestlers that have not stepped foot in the World Wrestling Entertainment in years.
Knight conquers Uso
Knight advanced to the finals by beating Jey Uso, who was fresh off a brutal “WarGames” match on Sunday.
Viewers anticipated Uso to win, but fan-favourite Knight pulled through against a rabid opponent to advance.
The aggressive Uso unleashed everything in his arsenal to try and take Knight down, but Knight kicked out of Uso’s signature “Spear” and “Uso Splash” combo at one point in the match.
After failing to put his rival down, Uso attempted another “Uso Splash”, but a swift Knight jolted to the top rope and reversed Uso’s attack with a “Megaplex”.
In the final stage of the bout, Uso managed to hit another “Spear” to an “Uso Splash,” but Knight reversed the combo by rolling his opponent up for the pinfall victory.
As Knight celebrated, Uso let out his frustration in ringside, knocking down a cart full of PRIME energy drinks and dismantling the nearby steel steps with the crowd going wild.

Gunther outlasts Sikoa
In a heel versus heel match, Gunther utilised a dirty trick to beat Solo Sikoa and his meddling MFT team.
Throughout the match, Talla Tonga from the MFT stalked the Austrian powerhouse, seeking to disrupt the match and give his boss Sikoa the win.
At one point, the six-foot-eight Tonga delivered a “Big Boot” to Gunther as the referee was distracted.
However, Tonga became overzealous and tried to help Sikoa deal more damage to Gunther, but the attack was stopped as the referee scolded Tonga.
With the referee distracted yet again, Gunther kicked his opponent below the belt and gave Sikoa a “Powerbomb” to seal the deal.
