Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has officially signed a new multi-year contract extension with The Prancing Horse ahead of this weekend’s Monaco GP – his home grand prix in Monte Carlo.
After a solid start to the season, with Leclerc only third in the championship – not far behind the leader Kimi Antonelli – the Monegasque and the Scuderia decided to continue the journey together.
The contract length for Leclerc has not been officially communicated by the team, as Ferrari only mentioned “a new deal” in his contract extension.
The love story between Leclerc and Ferrari continues, with the dream of bringing the Scuderia back to the top.
The announcement
The announcement came as a surprise on the official Scuderia Ferrari Instagram page: “We are delighted to confirm that Charles Leclerc has agreed a new deal with Scuderia Ferrari HP.”
Ferrari posted on its Instagram page, “Sempre Rosso,” which translates to “Always Red.”
The Moneguasque has also posted an announcement on his social media page, with a magnificent video and love letter to the team and fans of the red.
“Being a Ferrari driver is a privilege and a responsibility that I will never take for granted,” Leclerc mentions in his Instagram post.
“I’ll continue to give absolutely everything I have to bring this team back to where it belongs, at the very top, for everyone in Maranello, and above all for the tifosi, whose passion is the heartbeat of this Scuderia.
“The dream is still alive, and I’m proud to continue chasing it together with you.”

Ferrari’s team principal’s words
“Over the seasons, we have seen him grow not only one of the strongest drivers in Formula 1, but also a person who truly lives the bond with the team and everything Ferrari represents,” Frédéric Vasseur said in the official statement.
“Charles has been part of the Ferrari family for many years now and this renewal feels like something very natural for us.
“We know how much this project means to him and we are happy to continue working towards our shared goals.”
A never-ending story
Charles Leclerc has been with Ferrari since 2016, when he joined the junior academy, and in 2019, he earned the team’s trust by securing the red seat in Formula 1.
Since joining the Italian team in 2019, Leclerc has completed 155 races, making him the second-most capped driver in Ferrari’s history.
Ferrari has not yet delivered the car Leclerc wanted in the past seasons, with a great wasted opportunity in 2022, but it was very close to winning the constructors’ championship in 2024.
In all the years Leclerc has been with Ferrari, he has only achieved eight victories – a number that shows how unlucky he has been not to have a competitive car, but it truly shows how loyal he is to the team and how much he believes in the project.
“I’ll continue to give absolutely everything I have to bring this team back to where it belongs, at the very top, for everyone in Maranello, and above all for the tifosi, whose passion is the heartbeat of this Scuderia,” Leclerc said in the Instagram post.
