Promotion-chasing Wrexham have booked an FA Cup fifth-round clash with Premier League Chelsea, with all ties taking place across March 6-9, 2026.
The Welsh club is majority-owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who completed their takeover in February 2021, buying the club from the fan-owned Wrexham Supporters Trust.
Under their leadership, the club have risen from the National League back into the English Football League Championship, following three consecutive promotions.
Play-offs chase
They are currently eighth in the Championship table – just a point off the play-off places.
And Wrexham are also in the hunt for silverware having booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time in 29 years by beating Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Their reward is a clash with eight-time winners Chelsea at the Racecourse Ground, which will be packed to the rafters for the visit of Liam Rosenior’s Londoners.
