As of Tuesday 15 September, Sun Goddess has leapt to the top of Timeform’s two-year-old rankings after her impressive success in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes, making her the highest-rated two-year-old filly since Lady Aurelia in 2016.
The Moyglare victor was awarded rating of 120, with National Stakes winner Folsom Blues now rated 115.
Moyglare victory
Winning by over six lengths, Sun Goddess was awarded a rating of 120 for her runaway success, marking the best performance in the race this century.
Aidan O’Brien’s daughter of Sioux Nation is 5lb clear of the second highest-rated two-year-old, Folsom Blues, who was awarded his rating of 115 for victory in the Group 1 National Stakes on the same card.
At Doncaster, Desert Castle earned a Timeform rating of 113p for his comfortable three-length success in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes.

Sun Goddess basks in the glory
Timeform’s Andrew Asquith said: “Sun Goddess’ performance in the Moyglare rocketed her to the head of Timeform’s two-year-old rankings. The performance earned her rating of 120, making her the highest rated two-year-old filly since Lady Aurelia back in 2016.
“The performance easily produced the best rating in the race this century and she’s now Timeform’s top-rated juvenile.
“Sun Goddess has quite a speedy pedigree, but she had no problem stepping up to seven furlongs for the first time, and the manner in which she powered away from her rivals in a truly run race suggests she should have no problem staying a mile next season.
“The Cheveley Park Stakes is only a couple of weeks away, but she is a tough and very smart filly who appears to be thriving on her racing this year, so it would be no surprise to see her turn up at Newmarket and she will take all the beating if doing so.”
