Libertango, the impressive Albany Stakes winner, has leapt to the top of Timeform’s two-year-old ratings following her Ascot triumph.
George Boughey’s filly achieved a rating of 109p for her fast-finishing performance in Friday’s opener from Royal Ascot, where she comfortably ran down favourite Sun Goddess (103p) at the finish.
Other winners from the Royal meeting fill the top five in the two-year-old ratings, with Coventry Stakes winner, Great Barrier Reef (108p), second, while Royal Heritage who finished a close third behind the Ballydoyle winner is ranked fifth on 104P.
Orthodox (107p), the impressive Norfolk Stakes scorer, is rated third, ahead of Queen Mary winner, Victorious (106p) in fourth.

Timeform handicapper Simon Baker said: “The winning performances in the two-year-old races at Royal Ascot were all of a similar, up-to-scratch, standard, but Libertango’s Albany win is the one we’ve upgraded the most, which has moved her to the top of tree so far as juveniles are concerned.
“Not only did she do well to overcome trouble in running, but she also recorded one of the sectional performances of the week courtesy of a final furlong that was the fastest in the race by more than half a second.
“That suggests Libertango could in fact be worth even more than the 3 lb extra she’s initially been credited with and marks her down as a most exciting filly who’ll surely make her mark at the top level before the season is out.”
