Former world number one Justin Rose is confident he can get over the finishing line at Augusta this weekend – and finally don the famous green jacket by winning the 2026 Masters.
The 45-year-old lost out to fellow European Ryder Cup star Rory McIlroy last year, losing a play-off against the northern Irishman.
The 2026 Masters tees off on Thursday, April 9 and concludes on Sunday, April 12.
Rose is rated as a 30/1 chance to win the 2026 Masters with bookmakers SkyBet – and having finished runner-up on three occasions, he is motivated to take the final step this year.
Walk the line
The Englishman told Sky Sports: “I feel like I’ve pretty much done what it takes to win. I just haven’t walked over the line.
“I feel like I’ve executed well enough to have done the job.
“From that point of view, I don’t feel like I have to find something in myself to do something different – I truly believe that.
“I don’t feel like it [Augusta National] owes me anything. I come here with a good attitude. I come here with it being a place that I enjoy.”

In good form
Rose is in decent form heading to Augusta having tasted victory on the PGA Tour this season, winning the Farmers Insurance Open.
If he does manage to take top spot on the leaderboard come Sunday evening, he would become the second-oldest winner of The Masters in history.
At 45 (46 in July), Rose is just a year younger than Jack Nicklaus was when the American legend claimed the last of his 18 major titles in 1986.
Room for improvement
Rose insists there are still areas of his game he can improve on.
He added: “Definitely there is some motivation there to keep going, keep pushing, try to find new habits, new ways of trying to get better, realising that’s a pretty difficult ambition to sort of get better at this stage of my career.
“Still feel like there’s areas of my game that I can improve on significantly and easily without age being a factor to those areas of my game.
“Still enjoying the work really, I think, and that’s the most important thing.
“When you enjoy it, you don’t feel your age.”
Scottie Scheffler is the 6/1 favourite to win the 2026 Masters, while Ryder Cup hero Jon Rahm is available at 11/1, with last year’s champion McIlroy a 12/1 shot to win once again.
