McLaren driver Lando Norris has become the second British Formula 1 driver to be memorialised as a wax figurine at Madame Tussauds London, ahead of the iconic British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
During the unveiling, Norris said on Sky Sports: “Seeing the figure finished and standing next to it is surreal. The artists have really nailed the details too, it’s so lifelike.”
The 2025 F1 drivers’ champion worked with the world-famous attraction earlier this year to capture his likeness, which will be unveiled to the public on June 30, before the British Grand Prix weekend starting on July 2.
Norris and his Woking-based team McLaren will be hoping for a better performance at Silverstone as their 2026 season has not got off to a good start.
Initial optimism
While both were initially optimistic about retaining both F1 titles, these hopes were soon dashed by the terrible performance of the MCL40 car, which has seen six DNF’s across seven Grand Prixs.
However, their season has also included four podiums, two of which were clinched by Norris at the USA Grand Prix in Miami and the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
He also placed in the top 10 of all sprint races so far, including a win in Miami.
McLaren’s performance seems to be steadily improving after a series of upgrades, but with the reigning champs only fifth in the constructors, the upgrades ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix cannot come soon enough.

Odd sensation
When initially ‘meeting’ the figurine for the first time, Norris said: “He looks like he wants to fight me!” but said that he was ‘very happy’ to have got the opportunity.
“It’s a very odd sensation to see myself. [I’m] very happy I got the opportunity and even happier now that’s all done.”
Norris has also donated a signature papaya orange McLaren racing suit for his likeness to wear, as well as racing boots.
And the figurine will appear alongside a replica of the helmet Norris wore when he was crowned driver’s world champion at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December 2025.
He said he wants fans to see something he actually wears while racing and help the figure feel as realistic as possible.
“I have a lot of fans and supporters that don’t get to see me at races, or get to travel and do those kind of things – so at least they’ll be able to come and see me here.”
Norris alongside Lewis Hamilton
Wax Lando Norris will appear in the culture capital zone at Madame Tussauds London, alongside figurines of fellow British F1 star Lewis Hamilton and other sporting greats such as Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mary Earps and Anthony Joshua.
To celebrate the launch, Madame Tussauds London is offering fans the chance to win a signed LN4 Grandstand Dad Cap.
Visitors who scan the QR code near Norris’ figure between June 30 and July 19, 2026, will be entered into the prize draw.
