The fourth round of the Carabao Cup was full of surprises, close calls, and big results for Premier League teams.
Some of the biggest names stayed alive, but others saw their cup hopes come to an abrupt end.
A near fall off for Chelsea
Chelsea just about made it through after a wild 4-3 win away to Wolves.
The Blues were cruising at half-time with goals from Andrey Santos, Tyrique George, and Estevao Willian putting them 3-0 up.
But Wolves fought back hard, scoring three times in the second half – making it a tense encounter.
A late red card for Liam Delap didn’t help, but Enzo Maresca’s side held on.
Chelsea go through, but they’ll know they can’t afford to switch off like that again.
Liverpool’s domestic losing streak continues
Liverpool, meanwhile, were the biggest casualty of the round. Arne Slot’s side were beaten 3-0 at Anfield by Crystal Palace.
Ismaila Sarr scored twice, with Yeremy Pino adding the third, as Palace completely outplayed the Reds.
A red card for youngster Amara Nallo summed up a miserable night for Liverpool, who once again failed to make an impact on the domestic stage.

One London team in, another out
Arsenal looked comfortable at home, beating Brighton 2-0 at the Emirates.
Youngster Ethan Nwaneri opened the scoring in the second half before Bukayo Saka sealed the victory for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta made several changes to his starting XI, but Arsenal’s quality shone through nonetheless.
Newcastle United, the defending EFL Cup champions, also moved on after a 2-0 win over Tottenham at St James’ Park.
Fabian Schar scored the opener and Nick Woltemade added another to send Eddie Howe’s team through.
Spurs had chances, but couldn’t take them.
Mixed results across the board
The other Premier League teams had mixed luck.
Brentford advanced after a big 5-0 win over Grimsby, while Fulham beat Wycombe on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Manchester City came from a goal behind to beat Swansea 3-1, with Jeremy Doku, Omar Marmoush and Rayan Cherki on the scoresheet.
That leaves just a few top-flight teams in the quarter-finals.
The draw has given fans some exciting matchups: Arsenal will face Crystal Palace, Chelsea meet Cardiff City, Manchester City take on Brentford, and Newcastle play Fulham.
It’s been a dramatic round, and with Liverpool gone and Chelsea barely surviving, the Carabao Cup is shaping up to be wide open heading into the last eight.
