Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is the bookies’ favourite to replace Brendan Rodgers as Celtic manager – with Martin O’Neill having taken the reins on an interim basis.
The 39-year-old McKenna has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the past after impressing at Portman Road.
McKenna, Keane vie for top Celtic job
McKenna is under contract with the Tractor Boys until 2028 – and steered Ipswich Town to the Premier League for the 2024/25 season but could not keep them in the top flight.
They are currently lying 12th in the SkyBet Championship after only winning four of their opening 11 league games.
The Irishman is highly regarded, however, and bookmakers have made him the 4/6 favourite to take the Celtic hot-seat on a long-term basis, with former striker Robbie Keane also rated as a serious contender for the role at 5/2.
Former Liverpool striker Keane won the Hungarian title with Ferencvaros last season and also tasted success with Maccabi Tel Aviv the season before, winning the Israeli league.

Sutton drops Big Ange into the hat
Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, who was recently sacked by Nottingham Forest, is a 7/1 shot to make a return to Parkhead.
And ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton thinks a reunion with the fiery Greek-born Australian would be a “smart appointment”.
Sutton told Sky Sports: “His brand of football went down well in Glasgow. He’s out of work.
“I think Ange Postecoglou would be a really smart appointment. He was loved the first time round.
“I think that would be a pretty obvious choice, a good choice, and bring a lot of positivity back to Celtic, which they need right now.”

O’Neill takes interim reins after phone call
Former Hoops boss O’Neill and Shaun Maloney have been recruited to look after first-team affairs on a temporary basis following the surprise departure of Rodgers.
Defending champions Celtic are currently second in the table, trailing leaders Hearts by eight points after just nine games, with the Hoops having won five of nine Scottish Premiership games.
The 73-year-old former Aston Villa manager told Sky Sports: “I obviously want to do as well as I can. I’m looking forward to it – I think.
“This is a role where they’re looking for a permanent manager. At this minute, I’ve been called in to do the job. Interim manager at this point – and that’s the way it will remain.
“I didn’t need to be told what’s required. I got a call late afternoon, early evening from Dermot Desmond [Celtic’s largest shareholder]. He said Brendan had resigned.
“People had been taken aback by that. I assumed nothing would happen until the end of the season for anybody.
“I was asked if I’d come in and hold proceedings until they found a permanent manager. I had 10 minutes to make up my mind, which I did.”
Celtic face Falkirk on Wednesday and then have an Old Firm League Cup semi-final with arch rivals Rangers on Sunday.
