Liverpool will travel to face Ipswich Town in the first Premier League match of September 2026, taking on the Tractor Boys in a Friday night encounter which kicks off at 8pm UK, screened on Sky Sports.

Andoni Iraola’s former employers Bournemouth travel to the North-East for an early clash with Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday, September 5 (12.30pm kick-off) which will be televised by TNT Sports.

And the first top-flight weekend of September action will be concluded with a mouthwatering London derby between Arsenal and Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea at Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s defending Premier League champions will lock horns with Alonso’s Blues in a 4.30pm clash of the titans, which will be televised on Sky Sports on Sunday, September 6.
