The 2026/27 Premier League fixtures have been released, with defending champions Arsenal beginning their season at home to Coventry City on Friday, August 21.
Using last term’s final league positions as a reference, Manchester United have the easiest opening five games, while Sunderland face the toughest start to the campaign.
Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, have been given a horror run-in, with their final five matches including fixtures against Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Aston Villa.
Mouth-watering fixtures await
After Arsenal welcome newly promoted Coventry to London, Mikel Arteta’s side will face early tests against Aston Villa and Chelsea as they set about a first title defence in 22 years.
Enzo Maresca–led Manchester City begin a new era without Pep Guardiola at home to Bournemouth, while new boys Hull City host Michael Carrick’s fast-improving Man United.
Elsewhere, Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola – who recently replaced the sacked Arne Slot – begins his Premier League reign away to Newcastle United.
The opening weekend also serves up two London derbies, with Brentford facing Tottenham and Fulham taking on Chelsea, with the Blues now under the tutelage of Xabi Alonso.
Promoted Ipswich Town start against Sunderland, Everton meet Conference League champs Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest host Leeds United, and Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Europa League winners Aston Villa.

Festive season congestion
There will be a record nine Premier League clubs competing in UEFA competitions next season.
And to help ease congestion in an increasingly crowded calendar, clubs are set to be guaranteed at least 60 hours between matches over the Christmas and New Year period.
But while the Premier League says it will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible for any schedule changes, supporters should still expect late alterations if European commitments continue.
In contrast to last season, fans can also look forward to a fuller, more traditional programme of league fixtures on Boxing Day.
